Bad Company 2 vs. Modern Warfare 2

Modern Warfare 2 are currently being reported by Xbox Live. However, if you are experiencing issues, be sure to follow this following link here where you will be directed to the status page of Xbox Live. Original Story The video game community was met with some very exciting news on Tuesday, August 28th as Xbox announced that the fan favorite Call of Duty title of Modern Warfare 2 or MW2 had finally become backwards compatible for the Xbox One console. Players have been reporting issues with the matchmaking system for the newly minted backwards compatible title of CoD MW2 with Xbox finally announcing on its official support page that it is aware of the issues that players are having with the servers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and are actively working on it, according to a report by Call of Duty news outlet Charlie Intel. However, it is of a positive note that Xbox is aware of the server issues that MW2 is currently having and is working on fixing it in what many hope to be a timely manner. While the exact cause of the server issue for CoD Modern Warfare 2 was not revealed, it would make sense that with the massive influx that the servers for the game has seen today with the announcements of its backwards compatibility could have possibly overloaded the servers. We will continue to update this article with more information regarding the status of the servers for Call of Duty:

MCT A few weeks ago, countless PC gamers across the world felt their palms inexplicably gravitating, nay, shooting toward their faces at ludicrous speeds. The cause of these facepalms? Dedicated servers are permanent servers that almost always offer lower latency and smoother gameplay than any temporary listen server could ever hope to provide.

Because multiplayer is handled through IWNET, players looking for public games are forced to play on playlists via automated matchmaking. Matchmaking, in a hyphenated word, is idiot-proof, but its merits end there. When the player has no choice over the map, latency or any other variables besides game type, it would be a stretch to say that playlists offer even the illusion of choice. Antiquated but functional, the server browser is more spreadsheet than game, with rows of words and numbers cascading down the screen.

Oct 19, , 2: I think Tom’s should put it in the news for tomorrow. But the said thing is people will still buy it becuase they want to play it. I say wait for a few months and hope that they will realse a patch that will alow dedicated servers. November 12, Certain games somehow manage to elevate themselves beyond the typical “video game” status in the public eye. Back when I was in high school, gaming was considered a lame activity for losers yet everyone played and loved GTA. GTA just didn’t count as a video game. It was just accepted, culturally, that everyone played it and that there was nothing wrong with that.

Sports games fall into that niche too. No one is going to give you shit for playing a Madden or NHL game. You’re just a sports fan! Call of Duty is the latest title to get this treatment. Everyone knows it, everyone plays it, so it’s not considered “lame” like other video games. It hit critical mass.

Virtually all modern multiplayer videogames utilize Client-Server networking or Peer-to-peer networking. Listen servers are generally inferior to dedicated servers in every way except for price, because it is more stressful on a single system and is limited by the host’s internet connection. To simply put it, Clients send data to the server, which then organizes it and sends it out to all of the clients simultaneously, which then use that data to generate the world.

Here’s a slightly closer look using the Quake 3 networking model: They have their distinctions but the basics are pretty standard.

But the game keep sending me to South Africa server with ping. and other servers where my ping is and more. There is servers that i rarely get with 90 to ms. From the begging, i have problems to join the game with normal latency.

Originally posted by GELF: The real problem is that this and many others game does not have proper dedicated server support. Before anybodycries me down about “listen” servers and the like. Let me say one thing. A dedicated server is a permanent server that you can choose to connect to. Usually dedicated servers have a server browser so you can choose that you have a good ping time, and low latency, to. People then connect to this server because it offers decent ping.

Are you sure that you want to delete this answer? Yes Sorry, something has gone wrong. I am a PC gamer, so this response will reflect on PC versions of these two games. A great majority of PC gamers know that the biggest difference between online console gameplay and online pc gameplay is that PCs have dedicated servers.

With no ACTIVE ADMINS on a given server then hackers will have their way. MW2 & MW3 are heavily filled with hackers while COD4 and BO1 have little hacking since clan/server ADMINS ban.

Can anyone who has played both extensively give a list of both of their pros and cons? In my own personal opinion I have confidence that bfbc would win hands down. These versatile buildings are available in an almost unlimited selection of sizes, shapes and styles. Whether building it yourself from scratch, assembling from a kit, or contracting for one to be built for you, carefully consider your needs before getting started. Not only are these sheds great as the traditional garden or storage shed, they can be adapted and turned into portable office buildings, playhouses and even a summer beach house.

Your building can be wooden, metal and even vinyl. There are many resources for storage shed plans if you are up to building it yourself. This would be the most economical option, but if your carpentry skills aren’t adequate, you may want to consider a kit.

Gameplay[ edit ] The gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 revolves around fast-paced gunfights against enemy combatants. The player will be given specific guns at the beginning of each level , but may switch them out with another gun they find. Modern Warfare 2 has three different game modes: Campaign, Spec Ops, and Multiplayer. These levels provide specific challenges, such as defusing three bombs within a short period of time.

If they are not revived by the other player, then they will die and fail the level. There are five tiers of Spec Ops levels, with each tier harder than the previous. Only the first tier is available from the beginning, as later tiers can be unlocked with enough stars. The player earns stars by completing the levels on one of three difficulties, with the number of stars earned corresponding to the difficulty chosen. Each game type has an objective that requires unique strategies to complete.

These include a Predator missile, [24] a sentry gun , [25] and a ” tactical nuke “. The player will also unlock perks, which modify gameplay elements such as unlimited sprint and increased bullet damage. The game’s non-playable characters NPCs feature prominently in the story:

Just recently, players were unable to connect to the multiplayer servers for several hours, but things seem to be stabilizing for the moment. The Call of Duty: Questions, assumptions, and speculation I intend to dispel. Modern Warfare 2 is actually the biggest investment Infinity Ward has ever made into the PC version of our games. IWNET takes the benefits of dedicated servers and allows them to be utilized and accessed by every player, out of the box, while removing the barrier to entry for players unaware of how to maintain a server on their own.

How does it do this? When you want to player a multiplayer game on PC, in the past. Each had their own private rules, mods, or ways of playing the game.
